Helen McQue BSc (Hons), MBAA, BAFMOR,
TCM Acupuncturist.

Helen studied for several years at the Northern College of Acupuncture and Middlesex University to gain a BSc (Hons) degree, she is a Member of the British Acupuncture Association and a BAF Member Organisation Registrant, she also holds a local authority licence to practice. Helen now runs a busy clinic in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales in the historical market town of Richmond.

Upon gaining her degree Helen began her career in a small studio room working three days week. Over the years she has worked hard to build her reputation and client base so much so that she has recently achieved her dream of opening her own clinic within the heart of the community.

Reflecting her client base which is predominately women this has helped Helen develop a higher level of expertise in treating women's health.

She now assists and works closely with women who seek advice and treatment for fertility issues, IVF support, menstrual issues, natural conception, pre and post pregnancy care, menopause and other female related health concerns.

She is impassioned about acupuncture and what it can provide, her belief is that acupuncture is more than just applying needles, it's a deeper understanding with an individualistic approach for all who seek help with their health concerns.

Helen continues to work hard to provide a safe and calming space for those who need to unburden their worries, speak openly without judgment and to be listened to with care and acceptance.

Having taken further training she is now a FEA Practitioner providing facial acupuncture treaments for those who seek a natural alternative to cosmetic interventions such as surgery and chemical treatments.

In her spare time Helen volunteered for several weeks in a remote Tibetan Monastery Clinic working alongside Tibetan Monks to provide pain relief treatments to the Nepalese Community. This gave Helen further insight and knowledge on how the effects of acupuncture are used for the treatment of extreme health conditions some of which are not normally seen in the UK.

When she steps away from her love of Acupuncture she enjoys her love for gardening, running and returning to her previous job as a chef to provide culinary treats for her loved ones.
